Pigeon House For Sale

Old charm dating from 1888

The original cottage was built in 1888 and was restored in 1981 after it had fallen into ruins. It contained a cottage for the family and an adjacent shed for some animals and hay. In order to tie in both into one liveable house the architect introduced a narrow extension in front of the cottage to by-pass the old gable with fireplace and to introduce more light with high windows.

The interior is simple with downstairs a
living room, Kitchen, small bedroom ideal for kids and a bathroom. Upstairs to either side of the old solid stone partition wall containing the open fire and flue, a large master bedroom mezzanine with two additional bed options over the living area and to the other side over small bedroom and bathroom a guest mezzanine with a double bed. Both mezzanines provide clear views to the bay while waking up in the mornings.

The cottage is small but there is enough room to extend. The vendor is a
professional architect, member of the RIAI with over 40 years of practice and has lots of experience designing houses and extensions in sensitive areas.
